Lake Michigan Wreck Dive - Material Service Barge

Visit to Santa Barbara to bird sit, dive, drink wine and sit on a beach!

Fourth of July weekend to try out a couple new charters and visit the Circle of Heros memorial dive site.

A Juneteenth road trip from Chicago to Iowa and Minnesota. Knocking out two more states and another adventure.

It was a cold, and over cast morning, filled with equipment issues, complaints of the cold and grumblings of “this is dumb, we are dumb, diving is dumb.” However, as the adventure continued, people who were fishing looked on, laughed at us and asked about finding the lost treasure in the bottom of the lake. The idea of treasure fueled us, as did the promise of “an interesting rock to the left of the pier”.

Adventures at Haigh Quarry!

A trip back down to Florida! Several dives on the Blue Heron Bridge with sea horses, bat fish and crabs galore! Then two dives with Pura Vida Divers in attempts to see some sharks.

Sunken airplanes, hippos, freshwater jellyfish! Indiana has it all!

Is a sentence I never thought I’d type.

Adventures of the 2020 dive season!

Continuing on through Illinois brought us to Kentucky. With the great fresh water sharks, dinosaurs, and underwater forests that may not actually exist.

Another road trip! This time hitting up Southern Illinois to dive at Mermet Springs, diving in first class!

Colorado in February, cold, snowy mountain, slopes. Hot chocolate cozy by a fire pit. A sleigh ride through the trees under a blanket. These are all “normal” things to think about, and at some point, over the yearly ski trips, have all happened in some form or another. But this year, after coming down from the mountain top instead of going to the airport and heading back to Chicago, a couple day detour was added at the end of the trip. A dive adventure in the Downtown Aquarium.

The first adventure to Mermet Springs! Both of us stayed together the entire time and there was no time at all when one of us swam off to see a paddlefish for the first time!

Stopping by Ohio on the way home from Michigan!

A chilly day on the lake diving from a new part of The Mitten. While totally not scaring a boat full of people while talking on the “proper” ways to dive in a dry suit.

The next stop in our journey. A flooded parking lot, rusted spikes, broken stairs, what more could you ask for!?
