They were currently remodeling the main office area, so checked in with the owner in the bath house. It is nice that they have showers and running bathroom facilities on site, but we didn’t actually use them.

There are three docks (4, 5, and 6) that are located on the shallow side, in about 40’ of water. The docks themselves are pretty well worn down and beaten up, however they are in the process of replacing them with new ones that look nice.  By the parking and the docks there are several picnic benches around you could use to gear up as well. Right behind the dock is another staging area so you don’t have to walk down as many steps while wearing all of the gear.

The visibility of the water is surprisingly very nice and while there are no surface buoys, the airplane, helicopter and several other larger items are visible from the surface. There are also a few platforms suspended in about 20-30’ of water with large white markers on them as well. Underwater there are lines connecting the smaller boats, motorcycle, and other wrecked items so it is very easy to navigate around without getting lost.  There are lots of fish, rainbow trout, blue gills, catfish, and bass are plentiful, and also have some paddle fish and sturgeon that we did not see. The trout that are there are very used to people and similar to the blue gills at HQ will nip and bite at your suit so hood and gloves were recommended, which given the water temperatures were needed anyways.
