Flew down for Labor Day weekend. South Florida Diving Headquarters is located inside of the Sands Harbor Hotel. The shop is small, but located close to the boats and the marina. We dove off of their boats the Aqua View and the Safari Diver. The Safari Diver is a smaller boat, without a lot of shade or overhead spaces, but it is a faster boat. The Aqua View is a Catamaran style boat, with a decent amount of space and shade. If possible would recommend getting space towards the back of the boat where there’s the most covered area. Both boats had plenty of water and crackers for between dives and then pineapple for the ride back in. The dives are not guided, and drift dive reefs require a dive flag, which they provide. Sites were about 15-20 minutes away from the dock which made for nice short boat rides. The wrecks were more impressive and interesting than the reefs.
